Stramash Blue Shed is a roadside honest box selling a variety of different bakes and makes. Stramash sell a range of Oaties, Jams and Relishes, and at weekends have some special cakes and sweet treats. There are two car parking spaces by the shed for safe access.
Beauty Salon & Shop
The Old Post Office in Port of Ness is a jointly-run venture by Emma Macleod and Ellie Harris. Emma is the owner of 'Handmade in the Hebrides', selling bespoke Harris Tweed jewellery and accessories, as well as natural, hand-poured candles and soy melts. Ellie operates under ‘Elegantness’, providing beauty treatments both within the salon at ‘The Old Post Office’ and as a mobile service for those who are unable to make their way to the salon itself. Ellie is a qualified Classic Lash Technician and Nail Technician.
Physical Shop, Take-away food & Petrol Station
On the main road in Barvas on the way to Ness, is the Welcome Inn Filling station. Not only do they sell fuel, take away food and drink, and have a fully stocked grocery store, they also have car washing facilities. They are also a supplier of wetsuits!
An eclectic mix of antiques! They specialise in maritime, nautical and salvage antiques but also have a large collection of furniture, silver, jewellery, textiles, artwork and Hebridean artefacts. New stock arrives daily.
Shop, Gallery & Cafe
Janis and Robert Scott are the owners of this unusual gallery which displays the work of numerous recognised artists who share between them a love of Hebridean landscapes and seascapes. There is also a café which offers a pleasant place to enjoy speciality leaf teas, hand-crafted coffees and homemade cakes.
Alice is an artist and printmaker who creates island inspired prints, gifts and homewares. Her work is mainly pattern based, drawing on natural shapes and influences. Her range of designs reflect the flora and fauna of the Outer Hebrides and her memories of her childhood in Lewis and Harris. Her aim is to create designs which will bring the essence of the islands to your home. Her products are sold from her website www.alicemacprints.co.uk.

Shop & Studio
Borgh Pottery has been the working studio of potter Sue Blair since 1978.
The pots are hand-thrown or hand-built, domestic & decorative ware, glazed with unique high fired feldspathic glazes reflecting the Hebridean Coast & landscape.
Completed pots are displayed in the Borgh Pottery shop - the sole outlet.
The shop also has an exclusive range of beautiful gifts, cards & jewellery.
Situated on the main road in Borve, this rustic mini market sells a variety of groceries, newspapers and local goods.
Cross Stores is a licensed, well stocked country supermarket and butcher - home of the famous Ness Black Pudding! They sell just about everything from a needle to an anchor! They have a deli stocked with local produce, coffee machine and chiller. Wines, beers, fresh veg, frozen goods, hardware, gifts, toys and toiletries are also stocked.
Carthannas Nis is a community charity shop based on Cross-Skigersta Road, Ness, which accepts donations of clothes, books, furniture and household goods. Anything in good condition is sold in the shop and clothing, shoes and bags are sent to Blythswood Care as donations or for recycling. The funds generated by Carthannas Nis are donated to Bethesda Hospice, Blythswood Care and to various local causes.
